     Halifax Humanities 101 has been inspired by this vision of bringing the riches of Humanities education to those living below the poverty line. Each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, students gather at a local library to participate in lectures, engage in discussion, and exercise their minds in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment.

     For absolutely NO COST, students are able to study with university professors and read classic texts in philosophy, literature, history and art. All books and reading materials are provided FREE, as well as bus tickets, refreshments and child care if needed.
